Kingaroy Veterans and Community Centre taking shape

Construction is progressing quickly on the new Don Davey OAM Veterans and Community Centre in Kingaroy, with Oly Homes delivering the purpose-built modular facility for the Kingaroy-Memerambi RSL Sub-Branch.

The project reached an important milestone this week with the official sod turning at the Haly Street site, while construction of the building itself is already well advanced in the Oly Homes factory.

It is a clear example of one of the key advantages of modular construction, with site preparation and building construction able to progress at the same time.

Internal works are continuing, including the kitchen installation and key trades, before the building is transported to Kingaroy in six modules for installation on site.

Once complete, the new Kingaroy RSL Veterans and Community Centre will provide a dedicated space for veterans and their families to access support services and connect with their community.

Oly Homes General Manager Steven Nousala joined representatives from the Kingaroy-Memerambi RSL Sub-Branch and South Burnett Regional Council at the official sod-turning ceremony, marking the next stage of the project.

For Oly Homes, the project is another example of how modular construction can support the efficient delivery of quality community infrastructure across regional Queensland.
